Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the scholarship applicants must meet the following criteria;

  • All international students may apply, except for those from Switzerland, Surinam, or the EU/EEA.
  • Dual citizenship from a European nation is not permitted.
  • Candidates cannot have dual citizenship in an EU country.
  • The candidate must be admitted to Maastricht University's master's program.
  • An applicant might not have ever participated in an exchange program or gone to higher education in the Netherlands.
  • Applicants for the UM Scholarship must be younger than 35.
  • Candidates must have a strong academic record.

Documents Required

You have to submit the following documents in .doc, .docx, or PDF to be considered for the scholarship:

  • Updated CV/Resume maximum of 2 A4 pages having Education and Job Experience details.
  • Motivation Letter maximum of 1 A4 page.
  • Previous Degree Transcript
  • Contact details of one of the Referees.
